The highest level of certification in the coffee business, awarded by the Coffee Quality Institute and dedicated to tasting experts, which acknowledges the holder’s proficiency in the sensory analysis, selection and roasting of green coffee. A Q-Grader is a professional who, thanks to their exceptional sensory ability, is able to evaluate a certain coffee and score it, based in whether or not it is a Specialty or commercial coffee.
This type of training can only be provided in certified spaces. In fact, the MUMAC Academy is a Premier Training Campus certified by the Speciality Coffee Association. The classrooms respect the key parameters for the adequate evaluation of a coffee: equipment, water quality, brightness, temperature, ventilation and sound insulation.
