Ritual, culture and tradition are three elements of Italian espresso that are representative of our country\u2019s cultural identity. Through the nomination of \u201cItalian espresso coffee between culture, ritual, sociability and literature in the emblematic communities from Venice to Naples\u201d as UNESCO intangible heritage of humanity, the \u201cTraditional Italian Espresso Consortium\u201d is championing the values that make Italian espresso heritage worthy of protection at international level and is committed to the dissemination and promotion of these values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 100-year history that should be promoted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the 18th century, coffee has been a narrative device for writers, poets and songwriters. Formally recognising the coffee ritual by giving it UNESCO intangible heritage status also means keeping the tradition alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
