This course is in Italian.

A guided tasting experience to discover the pairing of loose-leaf teas and chocolates from different parts of the world. During the workshop you will taste 3 pairings, guided step by step by Tea Taster Elisa Moratello, and you will learn the fundamental rules of pairing tea with food—principles that can be applied in any context. You will learn to recognize aromas and unexpected nuances, far removed from mass-market products. You will discover the origins of tea and chocolate and how to taste them, both on their own and in combination. You will discover the origins of tea and chocolate, and the correct techniques for tasting them individually and together. A moment of learning and discovery, to enjoy for yourself or to share with whomever you wish.

No prior experience is required: the course includes a brief introduction to both the world of tea and chocolate, and the entire tasting will be guided by Elisa.

What you need to participate:

For tasting chocolate:

  • a small plate on which to place the chocolate pieces for tasting

For tasting tea:

  • a kettle or small saucepan to heat the water
  • a teapot or cup with infuser for brewing
  • a small plate on which to place the leaves before infusion, useful for sensory analysis
  • bottled or filtered water
  • a thermometer to measure the water temperature for tea, or alternatively a kettle with temperature control

What you will receive at home:

  • a kit with 3 loose-leaf teas and 3 chocolate samples
  • a tasting notebook
  • a sheet with the steps for tasting tea and chocolate in pairing

Price: €50.00 per person, VAT included (€40.98 + VAT)
